In Afghanistan many mothers live in poverty, can’t afford new clothes. So for Mother’s Day we bought them new clothes. It made them so happy to receive something new, and we were happy to help.
Unfortunately, this is only a temporary fix to a much larger problem. These mothers are still living in poverty and will likely go back to not being able to afford new clothes once Mother’s Day is over. We hope that by bringing some attention to this issue we can help make a difference in these mothers’ lives and help break the cycle of poverty.
We provided new clothes to over 500 mothers.
It’s heartbreaking to see how much poverty there is and Kator foundation will continue to help however we can.
It was a small way to help them, but it made a big difference in their lives.
(Because of cultural sensitivity we may not post pictures of the women we helped)
