Winter clothes for 26 alternative education students

It was the middle of winter in Afghanistan and the Hindukush mountains were covered in snow. The temperature does reach freezing. The students at the alternative education school in Afghanistan were cold and hungry. They had no winter clothes to keep them warm and their families could not afford to buy them any.

Our organization decided to help these poor students. We bought winter clothes from sent them to the school in Afghanistan. The students were so grateful. They said that they had never been so warm in all their lives.

It is heart-breaking to think about how these young people have to suffer through such harsh conditions, just because they are poor. No child should have to go without food or shelter, let alone clothing in the middle of winter.
