Carpentry Workshop Equipment for Local Tradesmen in Afghanistan

In Baghlan province, the Kator Foundation has equipped a community carpentry workshop with the tools and machinery local tradesmen need to do their work. The workshop received saws, planers, sanders, hand tools, and the basic equipment a small carpentry business cannot operate without — turning a bare room into a real, working shop where men can earn a living.

In rural Afghanistan, skilled tradesmen are everywhere. What is missing is the equipment to put their skills to use. A trained carpenter without a saw is a man who watches his family go without. By equipping a single shared workshop, we put a whole community of carpenters back to work — building doors, windows, furniture, and the everyday wood goods that village life depends on.

This project was made possible by our donors. Your support did not just buy tools. It put bread on the tables of every family connected to the men who now work in this shop.

We believe that the best aid is the kind that puts people back in charge of their own livelihoods. These tools will outlast any single project. They will be used for years, by many hands, building things that real families need.
