When the conflict began in Afghanistan, Thousands of families were displaced internally. They came to Kabul to escape the fighting. While they were able to find safety in the city, they quickly realized that they were not prepared for the challenges of urban life. Poverty was rampant and there was little immediate help available for these families. They are living in poverty and their children did have clothes or food to eat. Also, the conflict has also prevented many people from getting the medical care they need.
They were faced with poverty and desperation. We were determined to do everything we could to help these families.
Some organizations did step up to provide immediate help. Thankfully, Kator Foundation and other organizations were helping provide assistance to these families.
Kator Foundation was able to help some families by providing them with food, water, shelter and access to medical care.
