We helped renovate a mosque in a poor village in Afghanistan. The mosque is more than just a place of worship for the 60 families that live there. It’s also a community center where kids learn and people gather.
The poverty in the village is heartbreaking. Many of the families have been affected by war and are barely scraping by. But despite their hardships, they were so grateful that we came to help them renovate their mosque.
It was an honor to be able to give back to this community in need. Seeing the smile on the faces of the villagers as we worked together to improve their mosque was a moment I’ll never forget.
