The masjid is the most important building in an Afghan village. It is the place where people go to pray, to meet for religious festivals, and serve as a village community center. Due to war and poverty many of the village masjids are in ruins, but we are helping to repair and upgrade this one.
The people in this village have requested that we help repair and upgrade their masjid. They villagers are very poor, and they cannot afford to do the work themselves. We are happy to oblige because we know that poverty and war have taken a toll on this country. By helping them to repair and upgrade the masjid in Afghanistan we are making a small but important contribution to the lives of the people in this village.
Kator Foundation provided the materials and labor to make the repairs. This will help improve their quality of life and show them that we care about them.
