School Kits and Textbooks for Students in Afghanistan

In Baghlan province, the Kator Foundation has distributed school kits and textbooks to students across multiple villages. Each kit included a bag, notebooks, pencils, pens, and basic stationery — along with the textbooks that the classrooms had been doing without. For many of these children, it was the first time they had supplies of their own.

It is hard to learn without paper. It is hard to teach without a textbook. The simple act of putting a notebook in a child’s hand and a textbook on a teacher’s desk changes what is possible inside a classroom. These supplies are not glamorous and they will not make headlines, but they are exactly what a school needs to actually function.

This distribution would not have been possible without our donors. Every bag, every pencil, every textbook was provided by people who understand that the basic tools of learning are not a luxury — they are the difference between a child who can study and one who cannot.

We believe that small things, multiplied across many children, become very large things. These school kits will be used every day, by real children, in real classrooms, for the entire school year and beyond.
