Winter clothes 200 alternative education students

This is an alternative education institution.

In remote areas of the Hindukush region access to formal education is a challenge. Schools are few and far between, often lacking in fundamental necessities, like heating, educational material and adequate facilities. These alternative schools ensure that the poorest children receive some sort of basic education. They are taught reading, writing and variety of educational topics.

We support these institutions in a variety of ways

  1. Providing educational material such as note books, pens, teaching materials
  2. Coal and wood in the winter to keep the classes warm
  3. Improving the building structure itself (doors, windows, carpeting, electrical wires and lighting)
  4. Training for teachers and faculty
  5. Clothing for the students

Many of these students and their families are unable to afford winter clothing and shoes to keep themselves warm and healthy during the frigid winter months in the mountainous areas of the Hindukush regions. We provide winter coats and shoes to students that will keep them dry and warm all winter long.

There are 200 full time students at this location, ranging from 10 years old up to 18 years old that we support.
